STEP – 4 STANDARDIZE

In this article and associated video I have covered step 4 of 5S implementation, step four of 5S implementation is called STANDARDIZE and SEIKETSU in Japanese.

This step aims at standardizing the actions taken in first three steps so that they can be performed continuously by workers as part of their regular work duties. The new practices are documented in written standards which ensure that 5S goals are achieved in an effective and efficient manner. Check detailed lecture here.
